Sympathy Card 3 Ways |Three Levels of the Same Design

Sympathy cards are so important and I need them in my stash. I fell in love with this design but I thought I would play around with it to see what I could do, and I’m so happy with the results. While I made sympathy cards with these layouts, you can use sentiments, paper, or images you already have to make this design work for any occasion.

Card #1

The first card I made is easy enough for the very beginner card maker. The supplies are basic and so is the process but the end result is beautiful.

Card #2

This card is so similar to the first, but I added some vellum, and in some cases, heat embossing. The important thing to remember when stamping on vellum is that you really need to either heat emboss it or use a solvent ink like StazOn. Otherwise, you will end up with big smears as your ink might not actually dry on the non-porous surface.

Card #3

For the last card in this set, I added an extra element that included a couple layers, some coloring, and some extra heat embossing. This design DOES take more time, but I think the results are worth it.

I’d love to hear from you. Which is your favorite card I’ve featured today? I’d love to see any cards that you CASE or that you create from an idea you got here.

As always, I hope you find joy in creating as you spread kindness and encouragement with your scraps of paper. 🙂
