It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week
This week is Random Acts of Kindness week. It’s a week set aside for you to take a little extra time to perform random acts of kindness with the goal of making kindness the norm. If you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out my blog post from yesterday where I share more about the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, easy card tutorials, and ideas for Random Acts of Kindness.
New Affiliate Programs
There have been some questions about my website and changes that will happen now that I am no longer a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! I will do my best to address some of those questions here.
While I am no longer a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!, I will continue to link to Stampin’ Up! products I use in tutorials. The links will no longer take you to my Stampin’ Up! store, but will link to the general Stampin’ Up! website. When you check out, you will be asked to choose your demonstrator. If you don’t have one I’m happy to help you find one. I receive no financial compensation for these links. I am simply providing them for your convince.
I am working to partner with various companies as an affiliate. This means that I will receive a commission when you purchase from some of the links I provide on my blog at no additional cost to you. To find out more about the companies I work with and how it all works, check out my Affiliates page. You are under no obligation to purchase from any of these links, but doing so helps cover the cost of this blog and the tutorials I make as well as providing more opportunities to work together to give back to great charities and causes. Thank you!
Know Someone Who Needs Cards?
I love it when you guys send me contact information for individuals or organizations requesting cards. I can share those requests here, and together we can send a little extra cheer to someone in need.
Cards in the News
There are so many reasons to opt for handmade vs electronically generated cards for Valentines Day, and really all holidays and occasions.
Have you ever wondered where the tradition of sending and receiving paper Valentines began? Find out all about the history of Valentines here.
Take a look at some vintage Valentines and possibly find some inspiration for your own modern hand-made creations.
Quarterly Giving Update
With the changes going on here on the website and with Scraps of Encouragement in general, there are a few changes being made to the Monthly Giving focus. The number one change is that we will be moving to quarterly, rather than monthly giving goals in hopes that we can make a bigger impact with the organizations we seek to support. You can find out more about the changes here.
